Limited Warranty
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing a used engine, transmission, or turbocharger from PMP Auto Specialties LLC. We appreciate your business and are committed to providing quality used automotive components.
All engines, transmissions, and turbochargers are sold used and "AS IS," except as expressly provided in this Limited Warranty. No other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, apply beyond the terms specifically stated in this document.
Warranty Coverage
PMP Auto Specialties LLC warrants that the engine, transmission, or turbocharger purchased is free from defects in materials and workmanship for 120 days from the date the product is received by the customer.
Any warranty claim must be initiated within the applicable warranty period. Failure to return the product to PMP Auto Specialties LLC within the warranty period will void this warranty.
Extended Warranties
If an extended warranty is purchased, all terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty remain in full force and effect. The only modifications are the warranty duration, mileage limitations, and labor coverage purchased under the extended warranty.
Warranty Eligibility
This warranty applies only to:
This warranty is non-transferable and may not be assigned.
Warranty coverage applies only when the engine, transmission, or turbocharger is used:
For personal, non-commercial use;
In non-racing and non-competition applications; and
In its original OEM application or an equivalent factory-installed application.
Installation into a vehicle or application not originally equipped with the same OEM engine, transmission, or turbocharger automatically voids this warranty.
Warranty Void Conditions
This warranty is void if any of the following occur:
Racing, competition, track use, drifting, or high-performance driving
Horsepower-enhancing modifications or custom tuning
Installation of aftermarket performance components, including but not limited to:
Improper installation
Low or insufficient engine oil or coolant
Abuse or neglect
Overheating
Electrical or computer-related failures not originating within the supplied engine, transmission, or turbocharger
Any modification intended to increase horsepower automatically voids this warranty.
Items Not Covered Under Warranty
The following items and conditions are specifically excluded from warranty coverage.
Oil Consumption
Used Subaru engines are known to consume varying amounts of oil. Oil consumption is considered normal wear and is not covered under this warranty.
Electrical Components
The following items are not covered:
Sensors
Sensor failures
Wiring harnesses
PCM, ECM, or ECU modules
Electrical connectors
Cam Gears (FA/FB Engines)
Variable valve timing (AVCS/AVLS/VVT) cam gear failures and related camshaft timing codes are common on Subaru FA and FB engines.
If a cam gear fails during the warranty period, PMP Auto Specialties LLC will provide one (1) new OEM cam gear at no charge.
Labor is not covered. Installation must be performed by a qualified repair facility or professional technician.
Bolts & Hardware
Bolts, fasteners, brackets, clips, and miscellaneous hardware are not covered.
Front Drive Accessories
If included with the engine, the following accessories are provided as a courtesy only and carry no warranty:
Warranty Limitations
This warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to:
Inspection & Warranty Claims
If a defect is suspected, the purchaser must contact PMP Auto Specialties LLC immediately before any repairs are attempted.
PMP Auto Specialties LLC reserves the right to inspect the product at its facility.
The purchaser is responsible for all shipping and transportation costs associated with returning the product for inspection.
At its sole discretion, PMP Auto Specialties LLC may authorize inspection or repairs by a repair facility approved by PMP Auto Specialties LLC.
Unauthorized repairs or disassembly may void warranty coverage.
Warranty Remedy
If PMP Auto Specialties LLC determines that a defect is covered under this Limited Warranty, it will, at its sole discretion:
No other remedies are available.
Repairs determined to be outside warranty coverage will be billed at $150.00 per labor hour, plus applicable parts.
Installation Requirements
Proof of proper installation is required for all warranty claims.
Minimum required documentation includes receipts for:
Oil changes must be performed every 3,000 miles, and maintenance records must be retained.
For all turbocharged Subaru applications, PMP Auto Specialties LLC recommends Motul 5W-40 engine oil.
Failure to provide installation or maintenance documentation may result in denial of warranty coverage.
Tamper Protection
Every engine sold by PMP Auto Specialties LLC is equipped with tamper protection devices.
Heat Tabs
Heat tabs are installed on every engine.
If any heat tab is:
Melted
Missing
Removed
Altered
the warranty is immediately void.
Dychem Inspection Marks
Critical engine fasteners are marked with Dychem tamper seal.
If any Dychem marking is broken, removed, disturbed, or altered without prior written authorization from PMP Auto Specialties LLC, the warranty is void.
Return Condition
Any engine, transmission, or turbocharger returned for inspection or warranty service must be returned in the same condition in which it was originally shipped.
Products returned that are:
Disassembled
Modified
Altered
Missing components
will incur a restoration and reassembly charge of $150.00 per labor hour before warranty evaluation can begin.
Entire Agreement
This Limited Warranty constitutes the sole and exclusive warranty provided by PMP Auto Specialties LLC.
No verbal statements, advertisements, representations, promises, or implied warranties shall modify or expand the terms of this agreement.
Shipping Inspection & Freight Damage
The purchaser is responsible for inspecting the engine, transmission, or turbocharger immediately upon delivery.
Any visible shipping damage, concealed shipping damage, missing components, or shipping discrepancies must be reported to both the delivering carrier and PMP Auto Specialties LLC within 48 hours of delivery.
The original pallet, packaging, and all packing materials must be retained until the freight claim has been resolved. Failure to preserve the packaging may result in denial of the freight claim by the carrier.
PMP Auto Specialties LLC is not responsible for damage occurring during shipment. Freight damage claims are subject to the policies and procedures of the delivering carrier. Failure to report shipping damage within 48 hours may result in denial of any freight-related claim.
Governing Law & Venue
This Limited Warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any dispute, claim, or legal action arising out of or relating to the sale of the product or this Limited Warranty shall be brought exclusively in the Court of Common Pleas of Berks County, Pennsylvania, or, where federal jurisdiction exists, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The purchaser consents to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
If any provision of this Limited Warranty is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Customer Acknowledgment & Acceptance
By signing below, the purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to all terms and conditions contained in this Limited Warranty.

No verbal statements or representations made by any employee, salesperson, installer, or third party modify this warranty.
Improper installation, abuse, neglect, overheating, racing, performance modifications, unauthorized disassembly, or tampering may immediately void warranty coverage.
Proof of proper installation and required maintenance records must be provided for all warranty claims.
PMP Auto Specialties LLC retains sole discretion regarding warranty eligibility, inspection requirements, repair authorization, replacement, or refund, consistent with the terms of this Limited Warranty.
This document constitutes the complete and exclusive warranty agreement between the purchaser and PMP Auto Specialties LLC.
